BEB Weekend Sports: Easter Special!

Everton put four past woeful Man Utd

Everton produced a thrilling display to outclass a woeful Manchester United at Goodison Park and expose all the problems facing Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United face a fight to secure a Premier League top-four place and Champions League football next season after 90 minutes which were little other than torture against a rampant Everton.

United goalkeeper David de Gea had saved superbly from Richarlison before the Brazilian hooked in an acrobatic 13th-minute volley to set the tone for a magnificent display from Marco Silva's side.

De Gea was beaten by Gylfi Sigurdsson's low 25-yard drive, going down late, as Everton took total control.

Everton did not let up after the break, Lucas Digne scoring from long range after De Gea punched out a corner, before substitute Theo Walcott ran clear on to Sigurdsson's pass to slide home the fourth.

United have lost six of their past eight games in all competitions, while a fifth successive away defeat - for the first time since 1981 - leaves them facing the prospect of Europa League football next season.

PSG win Ligue 1 title without playing as Lille draw

Paris St-Germain claimed their eighth Ligue 1 title without kicking a ball after second-placed Lille were held to a goalless draw at Toulouse.

The leaders have 81 points after 32 games and cannot be caught as they lead Lille, who have played one more match, by 16 points with five games remaining.
Thomas Tuchel's side will take to the field as champions when they host Monaco later on Sunday.
PSG have now won the title six times in the past seven seasons.
The Parisians could win the domestic double when they face Stade Rennais in the French Cup final next Saturday.

Miller apologises after failed drugs test

Jarrell Miller said he "messed up" and has apologised after a failed drugs test saw his June fight against Anthony Joshua called off.

Miller was due to meet British IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Joshua, 29, at Madison Square Garden on 1 June.
He was denied a licence for the New York bout after an "adverse finding" from a sample taken on 20 March.

Then after a second adverse finding was reported on Friday, the 30-year-old American admitted: "I made a bad call."

In a video message posted on Instagram, Miller said:
"I messed up. There were a lot of ways to handle the situation, I handled it wrongly and I'm paying a price for it.
"I messed up a big opportunity and I'm hurting on the inside. My heart is bleeding right now - I hurt my family, my friends, my team, my supporters.
"But, I'm owning up to it. I'm going to deal with it. I'm going to correct it. I'm going to come back better and I'm humbled by the experience."
ESPN has reported the second finding revealed human growth hormone (HGH), which can aid muscle building and recovery. It has also claimed Miller has failed a third test.

Hearn said a new opponent for Joshua will be announced next week.

The Madison Square Garden fight was set to be Joshua's US debut.

Among those under consideration to replace Miller are Cuba's Luis Ortiz, Poland's Adam Kownacki and American Michael Hunter.

Tokyo marathons start early to avoid heat that could 'lead to deaths'

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic marathons will start at 06:00 local time to avoid extreme heat.

Organisers confirmed the schedule following warnings from Japanese medics that running in mid-morning could "lead to deaths" from heatstroke.

The possibility of extreme weather, including typhoons, is a "major issue", said Tokyo 2020 chief executive officer Toshiro Muto.

The Olympics run from 24 July to 9 August.
The men's 50km race will begin at 05:30, while the schedules for triathlon, rugby sevens and mountain biking have also been moved to avoid the highest temperatures.

When Japan last hosted the Olympics in 1964 they were held in October to avoid the summer heat.

The marathons began at 09:30 local time at Rio 2016, when the temperature was 19C.
