Telawaa: Common Blunders!


On TELAWAA(The English Language Academy With Ayo Alonge).

Two things I need to bring to your notice today:

1. You "rack your brain". You don't "crack your brain", like you crack an egg.

Example:
I can't remember so I need to rack my brain (not "crack my brain").

1. You "lag behind". You don't "lack behind".

Example:

The students soon noticed that they have been lagging behind (not "lacking behind").

This is crucial to note.
