Lampard named Premier League manager of the month for October
The Blues beat Southampton, Newcastle United and Aston Villa in their three league matches last month.
Former Derby boss Lampard took charge at Stamford Bridge in the summer and his side have recovered from losing his opening game 4-0 at Manchester United to sit fourth in the table.
"I do believe in the group," he said.
"I also understand how hard the Premier League is and the competition from teams like Liverpool and Manchester City."Former Chelsea midfielder Lampard, who won the Premier League player of the month award four times, beat Liverpool's Jürgen Klopp, Brighton's Graham Potter, Leicester's Brendan Rodgers and Dean Smith of Aston Villa to the award.
He took over a side which was subject to a two-window transfer ban and cannot sign new players until summer 2020, leading to more opportunities for the likes of midfielder Mason Mount, 20, and defender Fikayo Tomori, 21, both of whom have gone on to win England call-ups.
"Winning an individual award like this, my first one at the club, is the perfect time to appreciate the close staff, who have worked so hard since pre-season, and the players, as they are the ones who go out and perform," added 41-year-old Englishman Lampard.
Bayern Munich to hold talks with Wenger
Wenger, 70, told Bein Sports that he is planning to speak to Bayern's executive board chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge after the Bundesliga champions sacked Niko Kovac earlier this week.
It comes after Rummenigge said Wenger was "not being considered as coach".
"We decided together we will talk next week because I'm in Doha until Sunday. This is the true story," said Wenger.
"On Wednesday afternoon, Rummenigge called me. I could not answer and by politeness I called him back.
"He was in his car going to the game against Olympiakos. We talked for four to five minutes maximum and he told me they had assigned [Hans-Dieter] Flick to be the coach - he will manage the next two games.
"He [Rummenigge] asked me if I would be interested because they are looking for a coach. I told him I didn't have any thoughts about it - it needs some time to have a think about it."Wenger spent 22 years in charge of Arsenal, winning the Premier League three times and the FA Cup on seven occasions before he left the Gunners at the end of the 2017-18 season.
After 10 games of the Bundesliga campaign, Bayern are fourth, four points behind leaders Borussia Monchengladbach, and lost 5-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt in Kovac's last match in charge.
Woods picks himself for Presidents Cup
He is only the second playing captain in the event between the US and an international team - Hale Irwin played in the inaugural matches 25 years ago.
Since returning in early 2018 from a fourth operation on his back, Woods has won three tournaments, including his 15th major at the Masters in April.
Woods, 43, also selected Tony Finau, Gary Woodland and Patrick Reed.
"As captain, I'm going to choose Tiger Woods as the last player on the team," he said, in announcing his own selection, before reeling off his Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup record.
"And I find it interesting talking in the third person," he joked. In October, Woods equalled the PGA Tour record with his 82nd career victory at the Zozo Championship in Japan.
Woods is also the first captain to pick himself for the Presidents Cup - Irwin qualified automatically for the event, which pits the US against a rest of the world team minus Europe, as one of the top eight-ranked US players at the time.
The rest of the US team is Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele, Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas, Matt Kuchar, Patrick Cantlay and Webb Simpson.
Nadal "confident" of being fit for ATP Finals
Nadal, 33, pulled out of the Paris Masters last week with a stomach injury but has travelled to London.
The Spaniard overtook Djokovic at the top of the rankings this week but could lose his position as year-end number one to the Serb at the O2 Arena.
Nadal is confident of playing a "good level" in his first match on Monday.
"If we were thinking we would not be able to play, we would probably not be here," he told BBC Sport.
Nadal, who has never won the season-ending championships, meets defending champion Alexander Zverev on Monday but said he only started serving "very slowly" on Thursday following the injury.
"I am confident that I can be very competitive - but of course it's a tournament in which you will face the top guys from the beginning, so you need to be 100% ready," the 19-time Grand Slam champion said.
"But I really hope I will be able to serve every single day a little better and my hope is to be serving normally on Sunday."
Nadal did not play in last year's ATP Finals because of injury and pulled out of the 2017 event with a knee problem after one match.
If he wins the title, he is guaranteed to finish the year as number one - but otherwise, the door could be open for Djokovic.
