Telawaa: Commonly Said Blunders ln English Language!

On TELAWAA (The English Language Academy With Ayo Alonge)

You don't "gather together", assemble together" or even "join together".

Often times, we even sing, "We are gathering together unto Him."

That's a blunder!

Note:
You simply "gather", "assemble" or "join".

Examples:

Government has instructed us not to gather for now (not "gather together").

I need someone to help me assemble those things (not "assemble together").

Whatever God has joined, let no man put asunder (not "joined together").

Kindly note.
