Telawaa: Did You Know?

On TELAWAA (The English Language Academy With Ayo Alonge) today, we would be looking at something crucial.

There is an acronym as "AWOL". It means "absent without leave".

If someone goes AWOL, it means the person is absent without leave or permission.

NB: It is more of a lexis peculiar to the register of the military.

Example:
Some soldiers left the warfront and went AWOL.

The keyboardist abandoned the keyboard and went AWOL, even when the rehearsal was still on.
