I hope you know that there is a difference between "plague" and "plaque"?
The first is a contagious disease that spreads widely and often kills people. For instance, leprosy is a plague (not "plaque").
The second is an ornament typically made from metals or wood, often presented to honour someone. For instance, each awardee at the event was given a plaque (not "plague").
