Telawaa: The Difference!


On TELAWAA(The English Language Academy With Ayo Alonge).

One of the students of TELAWAA asked this question below.

"Please what's the difference between "ask of you" and "ask after you"?

This is it:
Although we often use them interchangeably, and in deed they can be, there is still a slight difference between the two.

When you ask OF someone, you do so just to know the person's whereabouts,  but when you ask AFTER someone, you do to check up or show you love and care for the person.
