Telawaa: Note This Blunder!

On TELAWAA(The English Language Academy With Ayo Alonge).

The word "customs", although ending in 's', should not be seen as plural. It is actually not  plural. So, always use singular verbs with it.

e.g. Customs is also meant to checkmate smuggling (not "are").

The Nigerian Customs has pledged support for the maritime industry (not "have").

There are also words like "measles" and "scissors". Always use singular verbs with them.
