Telawaa: Did You Know?


On TELAWAA(The English Language Academy With Ayo Alonge).

We often misappropriate the use of some prepositions, like "in" and at.

For instance, can you identify the difference between these two sentences:

1. She is AT the police station.
2. She is IN the police station.

Note:
The first sentence implies that she's there for a visit or for whatever engagement, official or unofficial.

The second implies that she's a suspect or culprit and probably put in cell already.
