Colombia beat Messi's Argentina at Copa America

Argentina's bid to reach a third straight Copa America final began with a 2-0 loss against Colombia - a first defeat to their South American rivals in 12 years.

Roger Martinez and Duvan Zapata scored in the final 20 minutes after an Argentina side featuring Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero had dominated.

Messi, 31, said the Group B defeat left his side "feeling bitter".
"We didn't want to start this way," the five-time Ballon d'Or winner said.
"But now we have to lift our heads and keep going."
Argentina have won the tournament 14 times - second only to Uruguay - but have not triumphed since 1993 and lost the last two finals on penalties against Chile.

Barcelona's Messi missed his side's best chance to score in Salvador, heading a rebound wide after David Ospina had saved from Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi.

Colombia, managed by former Portugal and Real Madrid head coach Carlos Quieroz, scored both of their goals against the run of play.

Substitute Martinez cut in from the left and drove his effort into the top corner in the 71st minute after being set up by James Rodriguez.

Zapata, who scored 23 goals to help his Italian side Atalanta qualify for the Champions League for the first time last season, sealed the win with a late close-range effort, having replaced captain Radamel Falcao.

Argentina next face Paraguay, who begin their campaign against invitees Qatar on Sunday (20:00 BST).

Mane suspended for Senegal Afcon opener

Senegal coach Aliou Cisse confirmed that his Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is suspended for their opening match at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The 27-year-old will miss the Group C fixture against Tanzania on 23 June in Cairo after picking up two yellow cards in Senegal's Nations Cup qualifiers.
"His absence should not in any way bother us," coach Cisse told Senegalese media just before they departed their training camp in Alicante in Spain for Egypt.
"Certainly the presence of Sadio is beneficial but without him we remain strong.
"The CAF [Confederation of African Football] has decided, so we will not linger," Cisse added.
Mane was booked in Senegal's 1-0 win away to Equatorial Guinea on 17 November 2018 and also appears to have been cautioned in their 2-0 victory over Madagascar on 23 March 2019, although it is not confirmed on Caf's match statistics. Caf has been contacted for verification.

The tournament in Egypt, scheduled for 21 June to 19 July, will be Mane's third Nations Cup finals and the second time he will miss Senegal's opening match.

Raptors beat Warriors to win first NBA title

The Toronto Raptors beat defending champions the Golden State Warriors 114-110 to win their first NBA title.

Kawhi Leonard was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player, averaging 28.5 points, as the Raptors won the best-of-seven series 4-2.

"It was heck of a 12 months," Toronto head coach Nick Nurse said after his side became the only Canadian franchise to win the NBA.
"This is why I play basketball; this is what I work hard for," added Leonard.
The Warriors, who headed into the finals with back-to-back wins and had won three of the past four NBA titles, were without the injured Kevin Durant and lost Klay Thompson to cruciate knee ligament damage in the third quarter.

Steph Curry had a chance to tie the series with a missed three-pointer when the Warriors trailed 111-110, before Leonard sealed the victory for the visitors.

The Raptors are the first Canadian club side to win a major North American sports title since the Toronto Blue Jays captured Major League Baseball's World Series in 1993.

The NBA was expanded to Canada in 1995 when it incorporated the newly formed Raptors and Vancouver Grizzlies - who later relocated and became the Memphis Grizzlies.

Fury stops Tom Schwarz in second round of heavyweight fight

Tyson Fury produced a ruthless display to stop previously undefeated heavyweight Tom Schwarz in the second round in Las Vegas.

Fury, wearing shorts with the American stars and stripes, entered the ring to James Brown's Living in America.

Fury, 30, backed Schwarz to the ropes in the second, driving a right hand home to drop the German to the floor.

Seconds later, with Schwarz bloodied and under attack, his corner threw in the towel as the bout was waved off.
"I got a big man out of there by switching it up. He caught me with a couple but you can't go swimming and not get wet," said Fury, who now has 28 wins and a draw on his record.
"I came here to have fun and enjoy myself. I don't take it too seriously. I thought I put on a good show and the fans got what they paid for."
This was Fury's first outing since his controversial draw with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in Los Angeles in December.
