Juve edge Napoli in seven-goal thriller

Juventus beat Napoli in a remarkable Serie A game as Kalidou Koulibaly's injury-time own goal negated the visitors' three-goal comeback.

The champions led 3-0 through goals from debutant Danilo, former Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo's first of the season.

But three summer signings scored to put Napoli level - Kostas Manolas, Hirving Lozano and Giovanni di Lorenzo.

That was in vain as Koulibaly shinned a deep free-kick past his own keeper.

Juve, who have won the last eight titles, clearly lacked the presence of captain Giorgio Chiellini - likely to be out for several months with an
anterior cruciate ligament injury - at the back, with £67.5m summer signing Matthijs de Ligt making a shaky debut.

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri did not take charge against his former club as he recovers from pneumonia, although he was at the Allianz Stadium watching the game.

Blades 'not day trippers' says Wilder after draw

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder said his side are "not day trippers" after they battled back from two goals down to snatch a point at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea were 2-0 up by half-time after striker Tammy Abraham struck twice, but Kurt Zouma's late own goal ensured a draw following Callum Robinson's strike in the first minute of the second half.

The result puts the visitors, who finished second in the Championship last season, into eighth in the Premier League table, one place above Chelsea.
"Three years ago we were bottom of League One and now we have come away from Chelsea with a result," said Wilder. "We are not day trippers getting autographs and collecting shirts."
A spill by United keeper Dean Henderson when under pressure from Christian Pulisic gave Abraham the chance for his first, and a mistake in the United defence allowed the Chelsea striker the opportunity for his second.

But the Blades pulled one back in the first minute of the second half when Robinson, who had missed from close range in the first half, scored his first since joining the club from Preston in the summer.

Chelsea struggled to threaten after Henderson made a brilliant save in the second half to deny Abraham a hat-trick.

And United pulled level after 89 minutes when Robinson's cross towards substitute Lys Mousset was diverted into his own net by the unlucky Zouma, to leave Frank Lampard still searching for a first home win since he became Chelsea manager.

Formula 2 driver Hubert killed in crash

Formula 2 driver Anthoine Hubert has been killed in a crash at the Belgian Grand Prix, motorsport's governing body the FIA has said.

The Frenchman, who was 22, suffered a huge impact from the car of American Juan Manuel Correa at about 170mph at the Raidillon swerves.
An FIA statement said that Hubert was taken to the medical centre after the incident, and died at 18:35 local time.

Correa is in intensive care, but his condition is stable, after surgery.

The 20-year-old suffered fractures to both his legs and a "minor spinal injury" in the crash and was taken to hospital by helicopter.
"Juan Manuel remained conscious the entire time until his admission to the operating room," a statement said.
The race was stopped after the crash and cancelled within a few minutes when the potential seriousness of the accident became clear.

Formula 2 have announced that Sunday's sprint race at Spa has been cancelled "out of respect", while the Formula 3 race will go ahead.

Hubert, who drove for the BWT Arden team, was lying eighth in the championship and had scored two wins this season, in Monaco and France.

He was also part of Renault F1's young driver programme. Renault said in a statement: "Anthoine was a member of the Renault Sport Academy and raced in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, the final ladder to F1.

Lomachenko beats Campbell in thrilling world title fight

Vasyl Lomachenko produced a battling display to beat Britain's Luke Campbell on points and add the WBC lightweight title to his WBA and WBO belts.
Lomachenko, 31, regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound boxers, was made to work hard for the thrilling win.
Campbell, also 31, was aiming to become a world champion for the first time but was floored in the 11th as the Ukrainian's class proved decisive.
Lomachenko got the verdict 119-108, 119-108, 118-108 at London's O2 Arena.

Campbell, an Olympic gold medallist in 2012, suffered the third loss of his 23-fight professional career but deserves huge praise for the way he fought back to hear the final bell.
"He is so good, he adapts to any plans," said Campbell. "Tonight was not the jackpot but my time will come."
The Hull man was in trouble at the end of the fifth when he was caught by a crushing left hook and then a barrage of body and head shots, but was saved by the bell.

Campbell took more punishment in the sixth, but had success of his own later in that round and the next in a captivating contest.

He was floored in the 11th after a barrage of body shots and then a jab. But he got up to finish the fight, although two of the three judges did not give him a round, only a share of one.

Campbell was later taken to hospital but promoter Eddie Hearn said it was only a precautionary measure.
